In Russia’s SIZO-2 prison, 839 kilometers from Moscow, journalist Alsu Kurmasheva moves between cells, sending coded messages to loved ones disguised as stories from a fictional TV series. One letter, dated December 8, 2023 – Day 47 of 288 – offers a glimpse into her quiet resistance.

Tento dokument sleduje ázerbájdžánskou novinářku Aynur Elgunesh, která se po 28 letech vrací do svého rodného města Aghdam, odkud byla vyhnána válkou. Mezi ruinami kdysi známé krajiny hledá fragmenty své minulosti, zejména svého dětství.

Alejandro je noční reportér v Mexico City, který dokumentuje nejtemnější a nejnásilnější události ve městě. Každá noc se stává závodem s časem, aby se jako první dostal na místo činu a pořídil co nejvýraznější fotografie a videa. Za ta léta byl svědkem nesčetných znepokojivých scén, které odhalují drsnou realitu a emocionální zátěž profese poznamenané nebezpečím a vyčerpáním. Ale během jedné noci ho nečekaná událost zasáhne tak, jak ho žádná jiná zakázka nikdy nezasáhla.
